<version> tags are updated with the 4.6.x.y scheme.This way, core extensions can be easily identified and matched with the running Core version. Also will help distinguishing the patch updates.

cauld - BINGO!  Alright folks I finally have it.  I reversed the 30 to 38 committed revisions, fixed the tinymce directory, and was able to merge revisions 30 to 95 successfully.  Now 4.6 reflects all 453h changes.  Lesson learned.. be very careful when deleting a directory and adding in the same directory with a different structure underneath.

cauld - merging revisions 22 thru 30 into 4.6.  also renaming the trunk tag to 453h_release to hold the release snapshot for when the old branch is removed.
