I recognize that these are industry have to keep moving if it wants to continue to manufacture enough equipment so that the web run smoothly. I did one of the best technologies that have been invented toVMware recovery is not as easy as it looks. deal with this over the past couple of years have to be VMware server. These guys got rich in the public markets for reason, and I have to get that because VMware remains one of the best server platforms out there.

But VMware Is Not without Its Problems

What I am hearing from the trenches as far as the consistency of the server product is that a lot more people having to get professional VMware recovery than with regular server platforms such as Sun Solaris or Linux. I don’t know if it has anything to do with the stability of the platform or what, but I know that there is a program that is installed inside of the operating system that enables you to recover data. Obviously, they decided to keep it simple and just call it VMware data recovery.

After looking over the platform and some of the specifications that are on the web, I realized it probably is not the best application for somebody who is just starting out. This is a pretty complex cloud computing server and I think it is a little bit pricey for what it is. I’m not saying I’m a huge server enthusiast, but I have to say that when it comes down to simplicity, nothing is going to beat Linux. I have run Linux IBM servers for a long long time and I have to say that I’ve always been impressed with the power and their speed.

So, after discussing some of the issues with a couple of technicians, I realized that there needs to be a lot better VMware disaster recovery scenarios in place. VMware needs to better recognize the fact that sometimes VMware servers are going to fail, and often it has nothing to do with the operating system itself. This is just because hard drives are not indestructible. Even when you’re talking about those in a VMware setup.

At any rate, I can certainly say that I have had a lot of people come to me with questions about raid recovery in the past, and I have typically not have a lot to say. I think you have to understand that the raid setups are typically pretty complex and unless you’re running something like a raid one, you are probably always going to have difficulty when you experience a critical hard drive crash.

Anyway, back to the VMware server. At this point, I’m not entirely sure that it is going to be the best solution for anyone. This is still pretty untested technology, and for now I think you have to recognize that unless you have some kind of VMware disaster recovery plan in place, or a very consistent backup schedule, you might end up in a little bit of trouble.
